Add, remove and weight criteria. The tool creates a priority brief; it does not invent a quality-of-life score.
The score summarises the model on a 0–100 scale. It is not a probability that you will enjoy living in that city.
Weights are relative: 8 counts twice as much as 4. A zero-weight criterion contributes nothing. If every weight is zero, the model assigns 50 to every city and the order no longer expresses your preferences.
After sorting scores, the selection keeps at most one city per country, up to ten cities. High-scoring cities from an already represented country may be omitted. The country open in the atlas does not filter this worldwide selection.
Missing country indicators may be filled with a median. Climate and urban scale include geographic approximations. Having 16 scores does not mean having 16 local measurements: check housing, services and neighbourhood conditions against recent sources.
A score of 80 with weight 8 and a score of 40 with weight 2 produce an average of 72. This illustrates the formula, not a real city.
(640 + 80) ÷ (8 + 2) = 72
04 · TOP 10
Compare cities worldwide, not only those in the open country. Choose one and the atlas and globe travel to it.
Global exploratory ranking: every admitted city has all 16 indicators. It combines GeoNames, the latest available World Bank country indicators and explicit geographic proxies for climate and urban scale; always verify current conditions before deciding.
Normalize the weights and calculate each available dimension.
